Johnathan Leroy Vance, 48, of Pearl City, a deputy sheriff, founder of Advanced Kempo-Karate System and a 10th-degree
black belt, died in the Queen's Medical Center. He was born in Fukuoka, Japan. He is survived by wife Jowella, daughters DeRae,
Cazden and Jazdee, brothers Alec and Lee Pacheco, sister Normandie Enderton, mothers Kumiko and Audrey, and two grandchildren.
Services: 7 p.m. Tuesday at Borthwick Mortuary, Maunakea Vineyard Chapel. Call after 5 p.m. Inurnment: 2 p.m. Wednesday at
Valley of the Temples, Garden of America.
