Kaisha September 9, 2005

My daughter has been using Shaklee supplements from her infancy although she never knew it. I would add some of the Vita-Lea Infant powders to her food and her other drinks. When she became older she began to use the Meal Shakes and the Vita-Lea chewable and also the chewable Vitamin-C. She used to take forever to chew everything up and so I ended up grinding it and just adding it to her protein drink that I made with Chocolate Soy milk and the Cocoa Meal shakes. Now that she can swallow her supplements life is so much easier for me and also for Kaisha. She now takes 1 Vita-Lea Multi-Vitamin in the morning and 1 in the evening then, 2 Vitamin-C 500mg in the morning and 2 again in the evening also, 2 B-complex in the morning and, 1 Vita-E w/grape seed extract in the morning and, 4 Calcium/Magnesium tablets in the morning and anywhere from 10 to a few times up to 20 Calcium/Magnesium tablets in the evening depending on how hard soccer practice, camps and or games where that day. She will also use three CorEnergy capsules on game days on the weekend.

I also began Nerve therapy for Kaisha a few years ago when she began to play competitive soccer. About several years ago my wife had noticed that Kaisha's spine was protruding slightly and although it seemed slight we had her spine examined. The doctor told us that she had a 7 degree curvature in her spine and that we needed to have her go to
Shriners Hospital to have further test done. The Doctor mentioned that treatment consisted of either wearing a full body brace from her hip to her neck and which would have to be worm 23 hours a day. The second option was surgery and it consisted of having to place two rods one on each side of the spine and having hardware that would directly attach them to the vertebrae on the top and the bottom of the rods. Neither of these was an option that I would choose and so I told my wife that I would begin working on Kaisha's back to correct this problem while also praying daily for Kaisha's healing. Well long story short she just had a full physical done in August when she turned 11 and the Doctor was a bit bewildered because when she checked Kaisha's back the curvature had lessened from the initial 7 degrees to 5 degrees. The Doctor told my wife that it is very unusual for the curvature of the spine to lessen instead of increasing its curve and thought that it might be at around 10 to 12 degrees at this second checkup.

So 1st we continue to Thank God for helping with her Scoliosis and next we make sure she keeps up with her supplements and I will continue to give her Nerve & Muscle Therapy to maintain her very stressful and active Soccer lifestyle.

Aloha & God Bless,

Moanalua vs Hilo 2009 States
Kai_States_vs_Hilo_resize.jpg
Kaisha's signature defense

This was the East (Red) D-1 "2008" Championship game which Moanalua needed to tie or win to Clinch the title.

Short Note…we took Kaisha & Tiana F. to Ward Warehouse for yogurt after this hard fought 1-1 tied game and ran into Tani Costa who was with some friends. Having never played against her or have had the pleasure to see her play (by the way she is as good as they say) because Kaisha is only a freshman this year "08" & "09". We would like to say what an Awesome Role Model and Genuinely Nice person Tani is. Tani not only smiled after seeing our Moanalua t-shirts but also said Hi. She is not only a Great soccer player, proof being on our US National team but also seems to be a Great example for younger girls to look up to. We wish her Great success in her future at Penn State and also on our US National team.

We are now Big fans of Tani Costa too...
