Hi,
What have you all heard concerning the BEST AirPurifier 3000 vs the Biozone Pure Wave? A customer saw a study stating
they both are just as effective and yet BEST AirPurifier 3000 is much less expensive.

A friend was presented with the information from Biozone (below) that tries to belittle BEST AirPurifier and promote the
Biozone product. It was full of so much misinformation, that I thought I would share it with you (and also my reply as to
their allegations.)
I am using your brochure with good success...love it.
Please get back to me ASAP in reply to these "allegations" by the makers of Biozone.
Here is what a friend discovered and it doesn't sound legit to me.

We are getting a lot of requests for comparison with the BEST AirPurifier product, so we compiled this brief article that
will touch on a few points and, hopefully, present some facts about both units that will allow consumers to see the differences
between the two products. In spite of some seemingly obvious similarities, there are significant differences in these two
products. Both are truly state-of-the-art air purification devices, to be sure. The BEST AirPurifier 3000 uses similar technology
to Biozone's but with a number of deficiencies. And while the basis of both units is, generally, the science of photochemistry,
BEST AirPurifier literature and marketing info tends to use phrases and semantics to make things sound more scientific than
they really are.
For example, some of their literature reads:
"...photoionization using silver, copper and titanium targets as a catalyst to produce strong oxidizers with residual
ozone and whole-home electron generation...an electron generator - that produces an electrostatic field and electrons that
agglomerate with positively charged particles floating in the air that then drop out of your breathing space."
What that translates to is that they use ultraviolet light shining on a metal surface to create a plasma containing ozone,
plus they have an additional ionizer (their "electron generator").
The BEST AirPurifier product uses a small 4", 6 watt lamp and a small metal surface. As such, the amount of plasma
produced is small. It does not appear the BEST AirPurifier unit has a fan, or if it does, is would be of low output. The
unit does not have any output controls. The unit is therefore similar in output to our MiniZone or model #500 at the most.
There is no way this unit would be capable of covering the claimed 3000 sq. ft.; consumers are advised to move the unit around
their home for best results, but we believe this would result in rather poor and inconsistent purification, not to mention
a lot of hassle. And for the suggested retail price of $699 it is a greatly overpriced product. Now let's look at a direct
comparison to our model #3000. We use an 8", 10 watt lamp with twice the killing power of the BEST AirPurifier lamp.
Our metallic target is 4 times the size of the BEST AirPurifier, resulting in dramatically increased plasma production (including
ions). This is further enhanced by our 47 CFM fan that increases the production of plasma as well as helping circulate the
plasma output. And with a suggested retail of $349.95 I would say we are a real bargain. It's also important to mention that
the BEST AirPurifier also uses an old time, electrically-inefficient ballast, similar to the ballasts used to power many fluorescent
lights. Ballasts of this type provide dramatically fluctuating power to the UV lamp, causing erratic and inconsistent output
for purifying and plasma production as well as decreased lamp life. That's one reason many BEST AirPurifier customers report
a steady "hum" when the unit is operating - that's AC hum, and it is common to ballasts and for a long time was
a real detriment to air purifiers used in homes around people who might not want to deal with that noise. It's also why many
BEST AirPurifier users report that they detect fairly high levels of ozone.
Although it is true that individual sensitivity to ozone varies widely, and some people can smell ozone at levels even
as low as .02 ppm (the FDA standard is .05 ppm for constant exposure), a unit that is producing a proper amount of ozone really
shouldn't produce enough so that people readily notice it.
Biozone units feature a fail-safe control of ozone levels through the use of broad-spectrum UV light which uses wavelengths
that not only produce ozone, but also destroy it. Our plasma is so powerful that we only really need to produce a very modest
amount of ozone to purify air very effectively. And, unlike our safe 12VDC electronics (SafeVolt), the BEST AirPurifier unit
runs on 110VAC, and unless they have changed, the manufacturer previously did not have a UL listing for their products (as
we do). They offer a 1 year warranty extendable to 3 years for an additional $69.00, as compared to our standard 3 year warranty.
And finally, BEST AirPurifier offers a single model for the customer to choose from compared to Biozone's broad product line
that allows the customer to select exactly what they need and can afford. We are also pleased to offer a fullmoney back guarantee

You have to give them credit. For being completely inferior and offering no scientific data proof of their claims, they
still "brag" about how much better they are! They first downplay the electron generator by "parenthesizing
it" so as to belittle its importance. It is a technology proven to work and do some significant things to reduce particulate
(something the Biozone absolutely CANNOT do), a technology that has sold independently for up to $600 per unit for household
use. This is NOT a minor difference! Since they are not aware or willing to admit the significance of our patented tri-metallic
target (proven to be even more effective than even BiozoneŽ first thought in our just-completed 3000 sq. ft. test ) all they
can say is that "our bulb is bigger than your bulb" and "our power supply is better than your power supply."
Pitiful arguments, but they will work for some people who don't understand the real science here. They seem to not know a
hydroxyl radical from an oxygen molecule. They seem to not realize that BEST AirPurifier does have a fan That's one reason
many BEST AirPurifier customers report a steady "hum" when the unit is operating - that's AC hum, and it is common
to ballasts and for a long time was a real detriment to air purifiers used in homes around people who might not want to deal
with that noise (have they even seen an BEST AirPurifier???) The fan IS the quiet sound people hear when BEST AirPurifier
is running (not some ballast noise like they claim). Of course BEST AirPurifier is UL listed and our warranty is also 3
full years. They just outright tell an untruth when they say There is no way this unit would be capable of covering the claimed
3000 sq. ft Well excuse me, but YES WAY, and we have already proven it to do so! They actually brag that their UV lamp is
so broad spectrum as to create ozone and then destroy it. In other words, there is no significant output of purifying elements
that would go out and do the job...in other words, they are an old fashioned system that has to "drag a room through
the unit" to do anything.
Really antiquated compared to BEST AirPurifier !
It's the old adage in advertising, if you don't really have a better system, hype what you can and downplay the competition.

The following are comments made in a telephone conversation between Dr. Michael O'., MD, an allergist and Ann Mangelsen,

I am very enthusiastic about the BEST AirPurifier 3000. I'm particularly impressed with the technology. The system appears
to have a unique ability to purify the air of odors, particulates and other contaminants including mold. What impresses me
most is that the photoionization. Ultraviolet...does so much more than hepas, electrostatics, etc. because they cleanse particulates
but it actually seems that most others aren't really killing anything. We have patients who have purchased other types and
have not gotten results. This is not the same old stuff. Especially, I think, for people having problems with molds. It is
so important for people to realize that a unit that does a whole house for this price! The price is extremely reasonable.
I've had patients who have paid $400-$800 for something that does only a small amount of space and not even that as well as
the BEST AirPurifier. We have people who go to Wal-Mart or someplace else for something cheaper, but they don't get anything
that will get the job done. For people looking for a whole house solution, the price is very reasonable! We have not found
central filters very helpful. Most patients I deal with here (in the Denver metro area) and in the mountains don't have air-conditioning
so a central filter for them only works six months out of the year. They also only work when the fan is running - that stirs
up even more dust and pollutants. We certainly recommend BEST AirPurifier 3000 for those patients who are looking for something
to deal with all the contaminants, molds, particulates, odors, etc. We are very impressed with the way it's approaching air
quality problems. Mold and odor problems are serious business. Not all our patients want to treat their air, but for those
who do, we feel this is the most effective solution. I can see how, in some parts of the country, this would be an even more
invaluable asset places where the humidity is higher, so molds are more prevalent. Thank you for the one page data information.
We are sharing this with our patients as we recommend the unit to them. This unique technology is really exciting and impressive.

Just a quick testimony to tell you how much I have enjoyed the BEST AirPurifier. It has helped in a huge way. Both of
my children have had breathing problems. Especially my youngest. He would have to be on breathing treaments every 3 hrs.,
he was also on allergy medicine. And I swear I had them in the doctors office at least twice a month. My youngest has also
had problems with weezing. They seemed to be sick all the time with colds. And their doctor told me over and over that he
didn't know what to do, because nothing was helping. Well ever since I have had the BEST AirPurifier in my home there has
been a remarkable change in both of them. They are no more on breathing treatments or allergy medicine. And my son's weezing
and cough is gone. Their doctor is amazed at the change. I recommend to anyone with problems like mine or no problems to get
the BEST AirPurifier. Or, least try it out in your home. It is amazing what this can do!

Dear Dubi,
I was very surprised by the performance of the BEST AirPurifier. I am usually very skeptical of new products that state
that they may address my needs but usually fail. This was not the case with the BEST AirPurifier 3000. The BEST AirPurifier
delivered amazing results for my family and me. As a registered nurse working in a major Boston hospital I came in contact
with latex and caustic cleaning chemicals which caused allergic reactions to the latex and multiple chemical sensitivities.
In addition I developed occupational asthma within this setting. Within in 24 hours in placing the BEST AirPurifier unit
in my home I found a dramatic difference in my air quality. I drastically reduced the use of my inhalers and slept through
the night for the first time in a long time. I was able to think a lot clearer as the BEST AirPurifier purified the air throughout
my home. The mustiness in the closets and bathrooms were gone. I became a strong believer in this product. On Thanksgiving
Day the electrical system in our furnace became short- circuited and caused an acrid burning smell throughout the house.
Upon returning 7 hours later after our holiday meal at friends the house had made a remarkable recovery – the BEST
AirPurifier had totally removed the burnt smells. My children and I could not get over the difference. On an ongoing basis

CADR means Clean Air Delivery Rate and is assigned by AHAM
(Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers) through testing of tobacco smoke reduction. It is a number constructed
from the removal of the smoke by the unit compared to natural decay (how fast the smoke clears without the device on) and
correlated to the volume of the test chamber. The number is then related to a recommended room size, which is listed on the
AHAM seal on the unit. Pollen and Dust are tested separately. The CADR doesn't apply to our technology, since not all of
the air in the room needs to be pulled through the AirSource 3000 to be treated, unlike a HEPA, electret, or electrostatic
precipitator system. The Photohydroionization Module and Electron Generator act upon the air virtually independent of air
flow through the unit. You can see the results of the BEST AirPurifier 3000 on tobacco smoke in the particulate reduction
lab test. Most pollen particles in the air are so large that they settle out very quickly and wouldn't be a fair test of
the unit's ability. For example, the BEST AirPurifier 3000 reduced 100% of the PM5 (5 micron particles) in the particulate
test, whereas most pollen particles are in the 10 to 100 micron size range. Most dusts are in the size range covered in the
particulate test as well, so all three areas of the AHAM test are represented in the testing on the BEST AirPurifier 3000,
with the addition of bacteria, mold, yeast, and VOCs (which we do not believe AHAM tests for).

In the local coffee shop, a Brewster Tour bus driver Jessie, was complaining about catching colds from his passengers,
on the bus.I offered him a free trial of an BEST AirPurifier Mobile, with holder, to see if it improved the situation for
him. It was 3 weeks before I was able to contact with Jessie again.
He caught sight of me in the coffee shop, disappeared, then re-appeared 3 minutes later, and handed me $360 in a fat roll
of $20 bills, saying 'I like it, and I want to keep it' He had placed the Mobile unit on the back of his seat, close to the
fan for the air conditioning unit. He commented that he was previously 'always sneezing' - and that had completely stopped.

Subject: Mobile Homes: Mold Problems
Hi Folks, A short testimonial on the value of the BEST AirPurifier Mobile.

I mentioned to my friends that I was having a black mold problem on my windows. We live in a comfortable 10 year old,
40 foot trailer with two push-outs in a trailer park on the waterfront in --.I am sure part of the problem comes from using
propane heat and having only single pane windows so that the temperature difference between the outside and inside would
cause high condensation, hence an almost perfect breeding ground for the little critters. Steen mentioned that he had a new
Technology that might help and asked if I would be willing to try it. I said, "Sure, what do I have to lose?" He
brought over one of the little BEST AirPurifier Mobiles that he is marketing and we plugged it in to an electrical wall-outlet.
Charles, my husband, cleaned all the black mold from the windows with the exception of two at the end of the trailer so that
we could have a test of the unit's effectiveness. After having the unit running for the past two weeks, we have noticed that
the two windows that were left untouched have a fine layer of dust which appears to be the remains of the now deceased mold
spores and the cleaned windows have no sign of the black mold. If this BEST AirPurifier Mobile works only half as well as
it appears to be working, it will be a tremendous innovation for people who like to live the vagabond lifestyle in comfy mobile
homes minus the ever-present mould spores.
