Growth Hormone (hGH) products are being marketed as anti-aging, clinically-proven compounds that promise miracles of weight
loss without dieting, increased muscle mass without exercising, removing wrinkles, and more. There are no clinical tests supporting
any of these claims. The popularly sold hGH products are, in fact, not actual human growth hormone, but amino acid solutions
being sold as human growth hormone "releasers." Real human growth hormone is available legally only by prescription.In our
bodies, human growth hormone helps in the growth and repair of organs and tissues, with the levels peaking at about age 20
and dwindling thereafter. In older adults, hGH doesn’t seem to do much good, and may actually do some harm—it
can worsen blood pressure and arthritis, and several studies have shown an association between higher levels of growth hormone
and various cancers. Another recent study shows that critically ill cardiac surgery, multiple trauma, or acute respiratory
failure patients who were given human growth hormone had rates of death, morbidity, or side effects higher than the control
